Thank you for your prompt response, and sorry for having missed the info on the top of the page you mentioned. Clearly i have to read a lot more.
One additional question (if you don't mind): you mentioned that my PC screen is returning a bad ID, but it is working fine with X11; are Wayland and X11 using different monitor databases? (if so where are they located?)
I will try to study and edit cmdline.txt as you suggested and see if i can get Wayland to work on both my screens, then i will be able to evaluate the performance of Wayland vs X11 directly.
