Actually, PINN *is* an OS. It is a specialized OS whose purpose is (primarily) to install other OSes.PINN is not an OS itself,
The point is that if nothing else, you should be able to install PINN on an Sd card and boot that.
It does sound at this point that the only two things really known to work on the Pi5 are RaspiOS and PINN. Anything else is in "You're on your own" (*) territory. In particular, although not mentioned yet, I suspect "the U word" is not far behind the scenes...
(*) And "Contact the maintainers of those OSes/Don't bother us, we only use RaspiOS" territory.
