Giving ships orders and expecting them to behave correctly when they have those orders, is pretty much a key part of any strategic war game... and with lots of different ship types with different abilities and purposes it has been one of the more complex systems to get up and running.
Progress on this is slow and will be ongoing for a while, but I finally have the basic systems in place to provide orders, act on those orders, decide the orders are met, and set up conditions to create or recieve new orders.. This will hopefully let me put a lit more realism in the game play other than, the previous..go there and shoot at whatever is there till its dead system it had before.
Its beginning to feel more interactive. I'll also have to start making the explosions and things a bit more realistic, but so far, so good.
Please consider joining my patreon, totally free, so that I have some feedback from people and a pool of possible testers when the time comes.
thanks
