Graphics programming • Tearing with GLFW/OpenGL

Hi, all.
I've been relearning OpenGL using GLFW. (On my previous attempt I was using GLUT but that seemed to corrupt memory.)
Initially I thought it was doing OK, with smallish windows, but when I made them bigger there was conspicuous tearing. Evidently it's not using vsync properly.
The thing is, there's no tearing when I run the same source code under Windows 10 (though that's a lower-resolution screen).
Any ideas for a fix?
I'm using Bookworm/2GB RPi4/UHD@30Hz (when I'm not using Windows).

Edit: I must add some code to display the frame rate...
