Other projects • Need help with a LED Backlight for an art piece, powered battery packs.

Hi,

I built an art piece with a custom frame that backlights the image with a USB powered LED light strip and built the frame to accommodate usb battery packs within the frame. The use case does not allow me to hardwire it through the wall and I want all wires to be hidden, so I went this route to allow it to be charged via a hidden usb port in the frame (only when needed). No raspberry pi is involved in the current setup but I believe may be the solution which is why I am posting here..

I've tried several battery packs, and the issue I am having with all is they all turn off after 30-60 mins of powering the led strip and requires a button on the power bank to be pressed to turn it back on. This isn't practical in the scenario since the battery is built into the backside of the frame for aesthetics and since the piece weighs over 50lbs it cannot be regularly taken off the wall just to click a button.

Can anyone think of a way I can use a pi or arduino to keep the power pack always on, or at least create some sort of switch to turn the battery back on, when it shuts down on its own?
