Hi Kosta,

first of all, thanks for your work - with the your ATV version, I finally got a responsive streaming box (RPi4).
However, there's one (major) issue left for me, which - to me - sounds very similar to the one posted by @werimail:

Code:

01-18 22:53:58.038 237 1585 E audio_hw_rpi_hdmi: out_write err: No such device01-18 22:53:58.060 237 1585 W StreamHAL: Error from HAL stream in function get_presentation_position: Operation not permitted01-18 22:53:58.638 237 1585 E audio_hw_rpi_hdmi: out_write err: No such device01-18 22:53:58.654 3077 3499 D BufferPoolAccessor2.0: bufferpool2 0xb4000078ddf4db58 : 0(0 size) total buffers - 0(0 size) used buffers - 18/23 (recycle/alloc) - 5/23 (fetch/transfer)01-18 22:53:58.654 3077 3499 D BufferPoolAccessor2.0: evictor expired: 1, evicted: 101-18 22:53:58.660 237 1585 W StreamHAL: Error from HAL stream in function get_presentation_position: Operation not permitted
I don't get audio from my RPi, that is connected with one HDMI cable (port0) to my AVR.
I've also tried it directly to my TV (Samsung Q6F series), but it didn't make any difference.

I don't get any sound, neither a Stereo file (audio), nor a video file with DTS sound.

I've tried it with Plex so far, it seems to me the OS doesn't find the audio device.
Also in the audio settings of LineageOS, I see only unsupported codecs, even though my AVR (Denon X3500H) supports all of them.
I didn't change the decoder settings, they are left at LOS defaults.

The same cable provides video output just fine, even at 4k (I can see in the settings output is at hdmi0, which is identical to the audio hdmi output settings).
I've also already tried to set video to only 1080p, but this didn't change anything.

Before I've tried your build, I did try OSMC shortly. Audio was working fine, but performance was rubbish, and usability of Android TV is just way better.

Is there any more information I could provide you, to maybe get a hint where the issue could be?

Thanks!
Check your HDMI cable/adapter as well. You could also look into some config.txt options (https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... edid_audio & https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... hdmi_drive) if they make any difference in case the TV/display reports EDID that doesn't support audio.

Codec options in Android TV settings don't do anything. None are actually supported.
