I was referring to using chrony on the client systems, not thinking at all about your time server.Thanks for the suggestions, but I've got a time server that works for most machines, so I'm disinclined to change it (and its not a Pi, not that that should make any difference). I'm actually trying to debug why certain machines give problems ranging from multiple errors before receiving a valid time, through to no response at all!
But, that said, I run chrony on my time server as well. Works great, although I’m pretty sure I’m not using sntp
Also, you’ve mentioned errors, not getting the time, etc. What does the system log on those systems say?
