Does speaker-test use the correct mapping when bypassing pipewire?

Indeed, I have a correct mapping when bypassing pipewire.

speaker-test -D sysdefault:CARD=vc4hdmi1 -c 6 -t wav

So, this way we tested ALSA output? Or what method is used when directly addressing the playback device like the upper way?

Speaker-numbers are quite different, compared to when testing against pipewire.
