I recompiled Kodi (and its dependencies) to rule out a problem that was eventually tracked down to a missing option in config.txt. That pinned the CPU quite happily, and zero problems resulted.My Pi 5 has been running fine for months from a DigiAMP+ HAT. The specs on that claim 5.1V@2.5A. Perhaps it supplies more current than claimed but I have zero crashes, instability issues or under voltage events. Pi is used as a always on, always logged in desktop. Admittedly I have not gone out of my way to pin the cpu, but it is running from a SSD, and chromium often keeps things busy.
