Same answer as above. Wayland doesn't use that file.I have the same problem!
My new raspberry pi 5, with the newest os. I have tried with both 32 and 64 bit os, with the same result.
/etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart don't start a simple chromium-browser.
I use RPI for informationscreens, that shows a website. I have raspberry 3 and 4 that running autostart whitout any troubles.
